It was a really good day. Maizey woke up on the right side of the bassinet. It was like we had our 2 week old baby back. The sleepy, sweet baby who never cried except when there was a real reason. My sweet hubby woke up with her at 5am (after she had slept for 7 hours!!!!) so they could watch the early rounds of Wimbledon together, then when he put her back to bed she slept until 8:30. We had a quiet, slow morning with Grandma. We got a call from cousin Bethie saying that she and Josh would be in town and they invited us to have lunch with them and uncle Fred and cousin Sary. Maizey was quiet and sleepy for the whole lunch. I was so sure that I was going to have to go outside and bounce her in the middle of one of her i'm-pissed-but-i-don't-know-why-so-i'm-going-to-make-your-life-difficult fits, but she did so well. Then we went swimming and she coo'd and smiled up a storm. After that we came home and basically she nursed/pooped/slept all night. Get this: I had time to make dinner AND eat it while it was still hot!!! She slept and nursed off and on all during Elizabeth:The Golden Age and then went to bed easily. Now, here I am at 10pm, wondering what I will do with all my free time--and I choose to blog. Lucky you...
I wanted to share some pics of Maizey from when she was 8 days old and compare them to some shots from yesterday and today. She has grown so much in the last 2 months, it's crazy and overwhelming and, for the first time in my life, I want time to slow down...

I cannot believe the difference in the shots in her carseat! look how much taller her head is! crazy!!
